E&E did a whole outside refresh for my home. This included new windows, siding, garage doors, gutters, bluestone walkway and a beautiful new porch. The house now looks brand new. The quality of the work met my expectations, and the members of the E&E team were skilled, pleasant and responsive. I would recommend E&E and would use them in the future for other projects.

I couldn’t be happier with the service from this general contractor! After receiving several quotes, Jack and Jean stood out by offering a fair price for my small siding repair. Their transparency and commitment to getting the job done right were impressive. The work was completed exactly as expected, and I’ll definitely be contacting them for future projects.

E&E recently completed an addition at my home, and I could not be happier with the quality of the work! The addition required the entire house be re-sided, installation of a new roof, new kitchen, new master bath, new laundry, new mechanical room, and a new bedroom. Needless to say, the work was extensive! In addition to the quality of the work, what I most appreciated was the collaborative relationship I had with the E&E project manager and the various crews throughout the project. Everyone was professional and receptive to my questions and concerns!

E&E Contracting truly exceeded our expectations with the transformation of our basement! Special thanks to Wallie, Zach & his crew, and Alan for their incredible work. We had two old, small windows that were in terrible shape. The team cut out the concrete and installed four beautiful new windows, completely changing the feel of the space. They also replaced the sliding glass door, and now everything looks absolutely lovely, both inside and out. The quality of work was top-notch, and the entire team was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Highly recommend!

World class from start to finish. After a storm, their roof expert found damage that my insurance inspector missed. That eventually led to a total roof replacement covered by my insurance company. My roof was removed and replaced in one day and the workmanship is flawless…same for my new seamless gutters and leaf filter system. Communication, installation, and clean up were all superb. I really appreciated the pay by cash and military veteran discounts. Can’t say enough about this team of caring professionals!

E & E did a fabulous job on a very large project. They removed the stucco on our house, replaced it with Diamond Kote siding, replaced our garage doors, rebuilt our deck, and redesigned our front porch. Wallie, Alan, Benny, and the crew were very professional and easy to work with, E & E’s bid was considerably lower than the other bids I received, and the house looks wonderful. Wallie provided me with a detailed estimate with prices for several different siding materials that I was considering. Alan, the project manager, communicated with me throughout. Before the projects started, Alan came to the house multiple times to give me samples of building materials, discuss possible configurations for the deck and their costs, and make sure that he understood what I wanted. The project lasted several months and included changes I requested. Alan was responsive to my requests, visited the site many, many times to check on the progress and talk with me, and checked in by text or email at least once a week. Benny and his crew did beautiful work, responded to any questions or concerns I had, alerted me promptly to unexpected issues that arose, and cleaned up the site each day. I would highly recommend E & E.

  • Homes in Lancaster are selling relatively quickly, with a median of 20 days on the market.
  • Price appreciation has been a key trend, with the median sale price increasing by 9.4% in 2024 compared to the previous year. This is influenced by limited inventory, a stable local economy, and the city's desirable quality of life.

What are some popular home trends in Lancaster, PA?

Lancaster, PA, home renovation trends beautifully blend historical charm with contemporary living. Homeowners are increasingly focusing on functionality, energy efficiency, and personalized design in their updates.

  • Kitchens remain a top priority. Open-concept layouts continue to dominate, creating seamless flow between cooking, dining, and living areas. Homeowners are gravitating towards clean lines, modern minimalism, and painted cabinetry in warm neutrals or bold, earthy tones. Quartz countertops are favored for their durability, while smart appliances and integrated technology are enhancing convenience. Custom cabinetry and pull-out storage solutions are maximizing every inch of space, reflecting a desire for both style and practicality.
  • Bathroom remodels are transforming these spaces into spa-like retreats. Trends include efficient layouts, high-tech toilets, and luxurious heated floors. Unique tile patterns, such as honeycomb or geometric designs, are adding visual interest beyond traditional options. Floating vanities create an airy feel, and there's a shift towards warm, earthy color palettes, with brass and gold fixtures replacing cooler chrome tones. Freestanding tubs are also popular for a luxurious touch.
  • Basement finishing is a significant trend, turning underutilized spaces into versatile areas. Popular transformations include creating home offices, dedicated home gyms, or multi-functional family/recreation rooms with custom bars and entertainment centers. In-law suites or guest accommodations are also common, driven by the need for adaptable living arrangements. Custom-built-ins and integrated technology are prevalent, and there's a growing emphasis on green design, using sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems to improve comfort and reduce utility costs.

Overall, Lancaster homeowners are investing in renovations that not only enhance aesthetics but also improve their homes' livability, value, and energy performance.
